I have recorded a small video lecture on the topic of business studies . I wanted to share the theoretical ideas of marketing and product , but I am trying to connect it with real life examples as well.
When we connect with real life examples, the topic becomes more relatable and hence students and learners alike connect better . In the case of marketing you would see that understanding marketing as something that you want to share about your offering , in an organic way or a inorganic way .
The organic way requires sharing something useful with your audience and also as a attachment a little information about your offering . The inorganic way requires you to use social media , depending upon the offering you have , and mostly use analytical abilities to understand the audience and try and have a inorganic campaign which is efficient and effective as well . It may not come in the first go, but with time when you have tried many campaigns, hopefully the efficiency and effectiveness would come , and you are likely to be more comfortable with scale as well .
Okay ! Next step is the idea about the numbers. Usually when the information about your offering reaches your audience it may reach to tens of people or hundreds or thousands of people. When it does reach to thousands of people, there would be about 10% of them who are likely to show interest , usually captured from a form , or other ways. Now amongs the 10% of those people within the audience who have shown interest , another 10% of the set are likely to connect with you to get more ideas of the offerings you have . Usually free offerings work at this stage, for example a free mentorship.
As a last step, from the prospects who have connected with you to understand about your services, you would see that about 10 to 30 or 40% are likely to pay you to avail your services, This closes the important and likely difficult part of your business . Kudos ! if you have reached here
So , to sum up it is going to take about 3 steps , in the journey of marketing. The first stage where you share your information , the second stage where prospects show interest, the third when they connect with you for a free mentorship or something else .
If this is done , finally ensure the operations part is smooth and good experience for the customer, so that they are happy with the offering they paid for. Maintaining good operations , or delivery , including timely communication , delivery as expected !
